Jalapeno Cheddar BurgerIngredients
- Beef:
- ⅓ lb ground beef (80/20% fat, div. 2)
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese
- 1 slice of american cheese
- subst: whatever cheese you want
- 1 jalapeno (sliced)
- 3 cloves of garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp butter (melted)
- salt & pepper (to taste)
- Sauce:
- ½ tbsp mayonnaise
- ¼ tbsp ketchup
- ¼ tbsp mustard
- ½ tbsp dill relish
- ¼ onion (diced and browned)
- salt & pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Sauce:
- Mix it all together.
- Put as much as you want on the inside of both buns.
- Burger:
- Toast both buns on the inside, apply butter to the outside of the buns and toaste the outside.
- Evenly distribute the garlic between the two patties and mix well until evenly incorporated.
- Apply generous amounts of salt and pepper to both sides of patty.
- Heat skillet to medium-high heat and onto it firmly press the first patty. Cook until thoroughly seared.
- Flip. Place layer of jalapenos, followed by American cheese.
- Cook for 1 minute.
- Set the patty to the side and repeat the process with the second patty but with the cheddar cheese instead.
- Sauce bottom bun, place patty, sauce top of patty, cover with top bun.
