Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti (dry)
- ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 8 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves of garlic
- ¼ tsp salt
- 15 cranks of fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 lb shiitake mushrooms
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 scallions (garnish)
Instructions:
- Boil pasta for recommended time, set aside when done, reserving at least ½ cup of pasta water.
- In skillet on medium heat add olive oil with 4 Tbsp of butter.
- Once butter melts, add garlic and mushrooms.
- Once garlic browns, add salt and pepper.
- Push mushrooms to one side of the skillet.
- Set skillet to med-low, add remaining butter and soy sauce to skillet.
- Once butter melts, add mushrooms back to mix.
- Add pasta and ½ cup pasta water, toss until pasta is glossy.
- Serve immediately.
